Clinical Group Supervision

Clinical Group Supervision for Teams

Supporting your staff to reflect, sustain, and grow together

At Women Assist, we provide group clinical supervision designed for teams working in complex, high-pressure, and trauma-exposed environments.

Group supervision offers a structured, supportive space where practitioners can come together to reflect on their work, deepen their understanding, and strengthen their capacity to support others while also supporting their own well-being.

Why Group Supervision?

Working in frontline and caring roles can be isolating and emotionally demanding. Group supervision creates a shared space for connection, reflection, and collective learning.

It supports teams to:

  • Reduce burnout and vicarious trauma
  • Strengthen clinical skills and confidence
  • Build reflective and ethical practice
  • Improve team cohesion and communication
  • Normalise challenges in complex work
  • Feel supported and less alone in their roles

Who This Is For

Group supervision is ideal for organisations and teams, including:

  • Family violence services
  • Community and social service organisations
  • Counselling and mental health teams
  • Aboriginal community-controlled organisations
  • Youth services and outreach programs
  • Crisis and frontline response teams

We work with both established teams and newly formed services.

Our Approach

At Women Assist, group supervision is facilitated in a way that is:

Trauma-Informed

We understand the emotional impact of frontline work and create a space that prioritises safety, respect, and psychological well-being.

Reflective and Collaborative

Participants are supported to share, reflect, and learn from one another in a structured and guided way.

We honour diverse perspectives, experiences, and cultural contexts within the group.

Sessions integrate real-world case reflection with practical strategies and tools.
