About Cassandra Allen
I founded Women Assist in 2016, with a deep commitment to supporting women in their healing journeys.
Over the years, this work has grown alongside me, shaped not only by my professional experience but by the many stories, strengths, and complexities of the people I’ve had the privilege to support.
My background includes crisis intervention, private practice counselling, and leadership roles across the helping sector. These experiences have grounded me in both the realities of frontline work and the importance of creating spaces where people feel genuinely safe, seen, and supported.
My Approach
I do this work because I have seen how often women carry trauma, responsibility, and expectations while feeling unseen or misunderstood.
I believe in creating a space where that weight can be shared, where you feel safe enough to be yourself, and where healing can unfold in a way that honours your story, your strengths, and the way your mind works.
I specialise in supporting women recovering from trauma, including family and domestic violence, as well as those navigating complex emotions, life transitions, and making sense of their experiences.
My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in respect for each person’s unique way of experiencing the world. I integrate evidence-based therapies with compassion and intuition, recognising that healing looks different for everyone.
This includes understanding how lived experiences, such as ADHD and neurodiversity, can shape emotional responses, identity, and the healing process. Rather than something to fix, this is something we work with you on, supporting your strengths.
Above all, I aim to create a space that feels safe, non-judgmental, and supportive of your growth, at your pace.
I hold a deep belief in each person’s capacity for resilience and healing, even when it may not feel that way.
Clinical Supervision
Alongside counselling, I offer clinical supervision for counsellors and mental health professionals.
I’m registered at the clinical level with PACFA, and I’m deeply committed to supporting practitioners who are working in complex, emotionally demanding spaces.
Supervision with me is a reflective, collaborative process, one where you can think openly about your work, feel supported in your decision-making, and stay connected to your own wellbeing.
Supporting those who support others is a core part of my work, and something I feel strongly about.
Holistic Wellbeing
I’m also a certified Wayapa Wuurrk Practitioner, which is an Earth-based wellness practice centred on connection, both to ourselves and to the natural world.
This work brings in a more holistic dimension, supporting people to reconnect with their body, their environment, and a deeper sense of balance.
Through workshops and gentle practices, I incorporate this where it feels supportive and aligned.
A Space for You
Women Assist is not about fitting you into a model or a process. It’s about creating a space where you can feel safe enough to explore, understand, and move forward in a way that feels right for you.
Whether you are seeking counselling, supervision, or simply a place to begin, you are welcome here.
You don’t have to do this alone!
If you’re ready to begin, or simply want to explore whether counselling feels right for you, we invite you to reach out.
